Multicultural Community Ministerial Advisory Committee
The Multicultural Community Ministerial Advisory Committee provides advice to the Minister for Multicultural Affairs on emerging issues in relation to Queensland's cultural and linguistic diversity.
Priorities
The committee's areas of priority are:
- development and implementation of the Queensland Government's multicultural policy
- issues from meetings of the Ministerial Council on Immigration and Multicultural Affairs
- emerging issues for consideration in multicultural policy development and implementation.
At the Minister's direction, the committee also provides advice on strategies and projects to improve services and programs for people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
Committee members
The committee is comprised of people from a range of culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
Each member contributes their particular knowledge and expertise on issues relating to people from a diverse range of ethnic, cultural, linguistic and religious communities.
