The Queensland Government hosted a Recognition Ceremony attended by representatives of the Australian South Sea Islander community from around the state.
A recognition brochure was distributed throughout Queensland to mark the occasion and to bring the newly recognized Australian South Sea Islander community to the attention of all Queenslanders.
